I didn't even tell him to have a good day

This morning Sammy woke up around 8. He asked me to confirm John David was still asleep. I told him John David had already left to go to school. He got upset and said that he didn't even tell him to have a good day, then he sat on the sofa facing the wall. He was quite sad, and was close to crying. I asked him if he wants me to wake him up, and he said yes. Most mornings Sammy is up before John David so it is not an issue, but now I know how important that good bye is.
