it's all relative

So on wednesday I went to San Marcos with the kids and my sister Julie. John David kept asking about how much farther we had to go. My sister was like you just asked that. So then he started saying that it was not as far as Grace and Tony's house. I found it quite amazing that he could relate that Austin was closer to San Marcos than to Houston. Of course anytime we drive anywhere in Houston it feels like we are in the car for a long time, and he remembered that from our trip two weeks ago.
